Knowing and Doing the Will of God Through the Church

Jesus said you are my bride. I am your bridegroom. We as a body of believers are his bride. We are not individual cloned brides for Christ. If you are to be a single bride with millions of believers joined together around the world. We all should know our part in the church body. The church is not the building, worship singing, bible study, or prayer meetings. We tend to substitute knowing and doing the will of God with following the human church leadership agenda.

Jesus said you are the Light of the work and salt of the world. The world needs us and not the church. The church is not a place of ministry. The world is. The church is where you gather to nourish and grow in your parts of the body to function. The programs of the church should focus on ministry to the world. Not on building and gathering cash week after week and increasing attendance.

This is not the primary function of the church. The Lord God himself should preside over the functions of the body and nourish each one of us.

Instead we have made the church leadership lord over us and we do nothing as body. Have we become just like spectators in a show or a ball game. Realize this and learn what is knowing and doing the will of God is. We all pay ticket (tithe) to see the show the church entertainers put up every week. We choose the churches depending on their programs. Knowing and doing the will of God should reflect in participation of the entire gathered, not a few actors on a stage.

We even comment this church is good, that church is bad. The music is good and the preaching is good so on and so forth.

It is like one beggar telling another that there is food in that house, 'go and get some'. We do not share from an arrogant and holier than thou attitude. Most of our witnessing has become just that. We do not share it with others from love. We share in order to impress our church. Knowing and doing the will of God as an experience should reflect in why your share.

Our bodies have parts and functions. Our legs have their function and role, so are the hands, eyes, ears, and nose and mouth etc.; they do not duplicate each other. They do their functions. They know and do what they are supposed to do. How wonderful it will be if each Christian knows her or his role in the body of Christ and function. Knowing and doing the will of God helps us do precisely that.

The Bible is a lamp to my feet and light to my path. Lamp to the feet is a short immediate opening you see. Walk in that spot of light God has shown. The light to my path is the log term way that you will eventually walk if you heed to the lamp. If you do not see the spot light on the immediate and take your step you will miss knowing and doing the will of God.

Music is one of the keys to learn knowing and doing the will of God. Music sets a mood. People tend to act differently to different music. Music can aggravate physical violence, aggravate sexual activates, as well as tune your heart to the heart of God.

What in the world are you thinking and doing? This isn't a show. This is where the various parts of the body of the crucified and resurrected Christ gather to function as bride.

You are not a critique but an essential part of the gathering. We, the people and church leadership have made a mockery of the bride of Christ. These are demonic influences and purposes. Remember that Satan comes as an angel of light. Church is a perfect place for him to operate from. There is no other place on earth than the church for him to infiltrate.

God have mercy on us! Let us determine and pursue knowing and doing the will of God through fellowship.
